"THE SUMMONING" (REVIEW)

"THE SUMMONING" BY WILSON DOHERTY

I have to say it's been a long time coming. I have been looking for a book that was not all vampires and werewolves but something different and I found that here. Wilson Doherty's "The Summoning" is a book about a group of young adults that have been having nightmares about demons. Out of the four, Janna is the only one whose nightmares never seem to go away. She continues to see the demons even when she's awake and was put in an asylum for a long period of time due to what others wanted to believe were her delusions.

The time has come, and the Guardian must call the Gatekeepers to fight the demons to drive and keep them in hell once and for all. Janna, Galen, Darren and Claire have come together to rid the world of the demons that cause all the evil that plagues mankind. Can they do it?

I loved this book and can't wait for the sequels to come. Wilson Doherty is an author I am adding to my collection of the obscure in young adult writing. Not many get put upon my shelf of high expectations where young adult literature is concerned but this author has definitely earned a place there!

5 Ravens!
